Norwich Airport taxis: the official airport taxi company
We became the airport’s official operator in November 2022 — read the announcement. No other operator is authorised to work Norwich Airport, and no other operator has a desk inside the building.
Norwich Airport’s own website names one taxi company, and it is us. In its words:
“A2B Taxis are the official airport authorised taxi company. A2B Taxis have a booking office located in the terminal building adjacent to the car hire desks and operate their taxis from designated bays within Car Park 1 (Short Stay).”
Where to find us in the terminal
Our booking office is inside the terminal building, next to the car hire desks. Come out of baggage reclaim, walk towards the exit, and the A2B desk is on your way past. Someone is on it from 3am until midnight, every day of the year. We posted photographs while the airport office was being built.
Our cars wait in marked bays inside Car Park 1 (Short Stay), a few steps from the terminal door. You are not walking to a rank across the site and you are not queuing outside in a Norfolk February.
If you have pre-booked, your driver will be waiting for you. If you have not, walk up to the desk and we will put you in a car.
Arriving at Norwich Airport
Give us your flight number when you book and that is the last thing you need to do. We watch the flight ourselves and move your pickup to the time you actually land. Early, late, diverted and back again — the booking follows the aircraft, and we do not charge waiting time on any flight booked from Norwich Airport.
If you would rather be met properly, ask for meet and greet when you book. Your driver comes into the terminal, finds you, takes the heavy bag and walks you to the car.
Norwich Airport is about 4 miles north of the city centre. Into the middle of Norwich is 15 to 20 minutes, and Norwich rail station is about 20 minutes.
Flying out of Norwich Airport
For a departure, tell us your check-in time rather than your take-off time and we will work backwards from it. Norwich is a small, quick airport — most passengers want to be at the terminal two hours before a scheduled flight, and less for domestic.
Drop-off is inside Car Park 1 (Short Stay), directly in front of the terminal. The £8 airport drop-off charge is already inside the fares quoted above, so the price you are given is the price you pay.
You can book the return leg at the same time as the outbound. Most of our airport customers do, and it means a car is waiting when you get back rather than a queue.

Long-distance airport transfers from Norwich

Norfolk is a long way from the London airports and the trains are not much help at 4am. A fixed-price car door to door is usually the sensible answer, and often the cheaper one once you have counted two rail fares, a transfer and the parking you did not use.
Every long-distance transfer below is a fixed price agreed at the time of booking. It includes tolls, airport drop-off charges and waiting time. We monitor your inbound flight and hold the car for you, and we run through the night — a 2am pickup for a 6am departure is an ordinary booking for us, not a special request.
Norwich to Stansted Airport — from £140
Stansted is the closest of the London airports to Norfolk and by far our busiest long-distance run. It is roughly two hours from Norwich, most of it a straight run down the A11 and M11, and we do it several times a day.
We drop at the terminal set-down and collect from the designated pickup area. For an early departure we will pick you up in the small hours without a surcharge, and for an arrival we track the flight and meet you when it actually lands, however long the queue at passport control turns out to be.

Norwich to Heathrow Airport — from £240
Heathrow is about three and a half hours from Norwich depending on the M25. We go to any terminal, and we build the M25 into the timing rather than pretending it will be clear.
For long-haul arrivals, flight monitoring earns its keep: give us the flight number and we will be there when you clear customs, not when the schedule said you would.

Norwich to Gatwick Airport — from £245
Gatwick is our longest regular run, around four hours from Norwich via the M25 or the Dartford Crossing. Both terminals, North and South, same price.
Because of the distance we recommend booking a Gatwick transfer as early as you can, particularly for a departure before 7am.

Do you provide child or booster seats?
We can provide booster seats. Ask when you book so we have one ready in your vehicle. We do not carry full child car seats, but you are welcome to bring your own, and if you are flying out we can store your child seat at our offices while you are away and have it ready for the journey home.
What payment methods do you accept?
Cash, credit card, debit card and bank transfer. You can pay the driver in the car or settle the fare when you book. Corporate accounts are available for businesses booking regular airport runs.
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancel by phone on 01603 552324 or in writing and we will confirm it back to you. Call us as soon as your plans change, particularly on a long-distance transfer where a car is held for you.
