Yes, we have wheelchair-accessible taxis in Norwich. They’re pre-book only, so book online, call 01603 552324 or message us on WhatsApp, and give us as much notice as you can.
Our wheelchair-accessible taxis
Our wheelchair-accessible taxis have an integrated ramp for easy boarding and a securing system that holds your wheelchair steady for the whole journey, however long or short. You can stay seated in your own chair, and your driver will check it’s secure before you set off.
They’re built with other needs in mind too. There’s an induction loop if you’re hard of hearing, and contrasting grab handles and seat edge supports to help if you’re visually impaired.
Using a mobility scooter or a larger powered chair? Tell us the make and size when you book and we’ll confirm it can travel with you before we send a car.

How to book a wheelchair taxi
Our wheelchair-accessible taxis aren’t always on the road, so we can’t send one on the spot. Book ahead and we’ll keep the right vehicle for you.
- Online, through our booking form
- By phone, on 01603 552324
- On WhatsApp, by messaging 01603 552324
Give us as much notice as you can, especially for early mornings, hospital appointments and airport runs. When you book, tell us you need a wheelchair-accessible taxi, the type and size of your chair, and who’s travelling with you. That way we send the right car first time.
Every journey is a fixed price agreed when you book, and you pay in the car at the end. You’ll find our current prices on our taxi fares page.
Help from your driver
We pick you up from your door and take you right to where you’re going. Your driver will help you up the ramp, secure your chair and check you’re comfortable before setting off. When you arrive, they’ll help you out of the taxi safely.
Would you like someone with you for the whole trip? Our chaperone service provides passenger assistants who are trained and hold first aid certificates. They can stay with you at your appointment, so you get to the right place at the right time.
Hospital appointments and regular journeys
We can take you to hospital appointments, including the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, as well as dialysis sessions, day centres and regular visits to family and friends.
If you travel on the same days each week, tell us when you book and we’ll help you plan your journeys. Businesses, charities and public sector bodies can open an account with us, so journeys are invoiced instead of paid in the car.
Flying from Norwich Airport with a wheelchair
We’re the official taxi partner at Norwich Airport. Tell us about your wheelchair when you book your airport transfer and we’ll send an accessible taxi to take you and your luggage to the terminal. Book your return journey at the same time, so the right vehicle’s waiting when you land.
If you need help inside the terminal, ask your airline for special assistance when you book your flight.
Travelling as a bigger group? Our 8-seater minibuses suit families and groups with luggage. If someone in your group uses a wheelchair, tell us when you book and we’ll suggest the best vehicle for everyone.
